Generous opening hours offer athletes the freedom to train whenever it suits them. But how do you maintain control over access when staff is not constantly present? For a fitness center in the Rotterdam region, our technicians installed a hybrid turnstile: a solution that combines controlled access with an open and welcoming appearance.

Security with an open character

The fitness center was looking for an access solution that aligns with its generous opening hours and the moments when the location is unmanned. The choice fell on a... Hybrid turnstile. This offers the physical access security of a full-height turnstile, while the glass panels provide a more welcoming and transparent appearance.

This creates a clear separation between the entrance and the workout area, while maintaining visibility and a spacious feel. A fitting combination for an environment where access control and a welcoming reception are equally important.

Collaboration with a security partner

We realized this project in collaboration with a security systems supplier from Zeeland. Our technicians carried out the installation of the hybrid turnstile on-site.

With this solution, the fitness center can maintain controlled access even during unstaffed hours, aligning with the flexibility it wishes to offer its members.
